Ukrainian software exporters to be widely represented in the international IT market, much like they were at the world's largest annual high-tech fair CeBIT held in Germany's Hannover in mid-March. The Ukrainian IT industry again exhibited its products at a nationwide Ukrainian outsourcing forum, which was November, 29-30th.
Outsourcing, or farming out certain types of work to outside subcontractors, originated as a cost-cutting measure. Intellectual labor is very expensive in the West, and software developers earn hefty salaries, which is a colossal cost for large corporations with their own IT divisions. To cut costs, companies hire a smaller staff of programmers and farm out some of their work to overseas companies (offshore programming). The outsourcing business is based on the difference between labor costs inside the company and overseas.
A lot of domestic and famous world-wide software & hardware companies have taken participation in this Forum, including our company "Technocom-AT". The Forum has opened from very interesting report on a state of affairs in the market of Ukrainian outsourcing during last years and tendencies of the further development (you can see these picture below).
Also one of a participants - Scandinavian House - had been lead the comparison between the Ukrainian developers and their nearest competitors - programmers from China, and the palm tree of superiority was given to Ukrainian developers, we are the best!
